On February 21, the MAV Cluster celebrated the meeting of the lightweight materials working group at the REFISA facilities in Lleida.

REFISA is a member company of the MAV Cluster leading in the manufacture of structural composite materials, mainly for the railway sector, but also for aeronautics, naval, automotive or construction. During the meeting we were able to learn about the projects the company is working on and we had the opportunity to visit the production plant, which has more than 16,000 m2 and has the capacity to supply more than €20,000 per 'year.

REFISA has manufactured parts for trains and trams on five continents and its solutions have been implemented in the Barcelona metro, commuter trains and the Montserrat funicular.

After the visit, the group met to identify and exchange opportunities in the field of lightweight materials and ended the meeting with a joint lunch to continue connecting among members.
